The office copy needs to match the site copy
A supervisor opens a drawing on a phone while the office is looking at a revised copy. Photos sit in a message thread, and somebody needs them to finish a quote. These are useful starting points for an IT conversation because the task and the people affected are clear.
We can review where job records belong, how the crew reaches them and who can change access. The check should use a work device and the connection available where the job happens. Finding a file on the office computer does not confirm that the same task works on site.
Support the devices that go to work
A replacement phone or laptop needs the right accounts and applications before it is handed over. We can scope sign in, business email, updates, connected printers and access to shared records. The business needs to know which device belongs to whom and how access can be recovered.
Tell us when physical damage, unreliable power or poor mobile coverage may be involved. Some faults need a hardware repairer, carrier or local visit. We confirm those dependencies before treating a remote session as the whole job.
Keep enquiries and invoices moving
A shared business inbox should have someone responsible for it. A website enquiry needs to reach that inbox, and an application sending quotes or invoices needs an agreed email arrangement. We can investigate the accounts, domain records and surrounding IT when delivery or access becomes unreliable.
If the fault belongs to the job management or accounting product, its vendor may need to investigate. Keep the product name, exact error and time of the issue with the request. We can discuss the boundary and help prepare a useful handover.
Get found and get the phone ringing
For most trades businesses the website has one job, which is to turn a search on a phone into a call or a quote request. That means your phone number at the top of every page, a short quote form that reaches an inbox someone checks, the suburbs you cover and photos of real jobs.
A Dark Cloud Creative builds and fixes that kind of site, and can check that the enquiry form and your Google listing point to the right number and inbox. You own the domain, the site and every login, and work is quoted before it starts, from $79 an hour ex GST.
Keep control when a person or supplier leaves
The domain, email subscription and job applications should have business controlled ownership and recovery. A crew member leaving, a lost phone or a change of website supplier should not leave the business searching for the only person who knows the account.
We can scope account and access work against an approved handover. Required job records need an owner before accounts or licences are removed. Record what changed and which access remains with the business, including services outside Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
Review the existing setup before adding another tool
You might need a clearer shared folder, a mailbox fixed or a working replacement device. A move to Microsoft 365, a reporting project or an integration is a separate decision with its own scope. We start with the tools you already use and the work they need to support.
For a security concern, identify the device, account or requirement in question. If a builder, client or insurer has asked for particular evidence, bring the wording. A general IT cleanup does not establish that a contract requirement has been met.
Send a useful first enquiry
Tell us which task stopped, who is affected, the device or app involved and whether the issue happens on site, in the office or both. Include the error wording and anything that changed recently. Leave passwords, recovery codes and customer documents out of the first message.
We are based in Perth and offer remote support across Australia. We confirm whether the work suits remote access, requires someone at the device or needs another provider. A single issue is enough to start the discussion; ongoing coverage and support hours are agreed separately.
Common questions
Can I ask about one phone, laptop or email problem?
Yes. Tell us the affected task and the device or account involved. We discuss the investigation and fees before work starts, including any hardware or vendor dependency.
Can you help our crew access files away from the office?
We can review the platform, devices and permissions around the task. Tell us where the files live and what connectivity is available on site. Any offline arrangement needs a defined test and a way to reconcile changes.
Do we have to move to Microsoft 365?
No. We review your existing tools before recommending a change. Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and specialist job applications have different capabilities and dependencies, so the proposed work follows the task.
Do you support our job management application?
Tell us the product and what fails. We can discuss the surrounding IT and confirm what can be investigated. Product faults, custom changes or integrations may need the vendor or another specialist.
Can the work happen remotely outside Perth?
We offer remote support across Australia where the task suits it. Physical device work, some network faults and site access need a separate arrangement. Location and access are confirmed before work is agreed.
Can you build or fix a website for my trade business?
Yes. Josh C builds new sites and fixes existing ones, including WordPress, Wix and Squarespace sites. The quote lists the pages, the platform and what happens after launch, and you own the domain and every login.
