New and replacement websites for Perth small businesses. Clear service pages, phone and quote buttons that work on mobile, content you can edit, and old page addresses kept when a site moves.

Website design turns your services and your customers' questions into a site people can understand and act on. We plan the pages, words and enquiry path, build the site on a platform you can edit, and check it on phones before launch. Work starts from $79 an hour ex GST, quoted before anything begins, and you own the domain, the site and every login.

## What we can help with

- New websites and full rebuilds
- Phone, quote and enquiry buttons that work on mobile
- Content you can edit yourself
- Old page addresses kept or redirected

A business website needs to explain the work you do well enough for a visitor to make a decision. It should also let you maintain the information that changes. Visual character and useful content belong in the same brief.

We can scope a new site or a replacement on WordPress, or on Next.js with Payload CMS when the business needs more room to grow. Your current page addresses, existing search traffic and the people who will edit the site shape the plan before development begins.

## Build around a customer’s actual decision

A customer choosing a plumber, a café or an accountant wants to know what you do, where you work, what it costs and how to get in touch. A striking homepage does not answer those questions on its own.

We map those questions to pages and a clear path through the site. Distinct services get enough detail to be useful, and the phone number and next step stay easy to find on a phone.

## Start with the questions customers ask

The first job is to make it clear who the business helps, what it offers and how to take the next step. We plan distinct pages for distinct services and write answers that make sense to a person comparing providers.

A visitor should not need to decode the design to find the service, scope or contact details. Visual character matters, but headings, contrast and mobile navigation still have to work.

## Choose a CMS you can use

The CMS should let you edit the content you are likely to change. We agree on those fields, access and publishing controls before development. More plugins are not automatically a better editing experience.

New sites are usually built on WordPress, or on Next.js with Payload CMS, the setup behind this website. The choice depends on hosting, budget and who will maintain the site, and the quote explains why one suits you better.

## Launch without losing useful URLs

For a replacement website, we inventory existing pages and agree on what stays. Useful permalinks remain where possible. Pages that genuinely merge need relevant permanent redirects, updated internal links and a clean sitemap.

Titles, descriptions, accessible content and valid structured data support discovery. Nobody can promise a ranking or an AI citation, but a careful migration keeps the search history you already have.

## Decide what needs its own page

A separate page is useful when it addresses a distinct service or customer question with enough detail to stand on its own. Making several near identical pages for slightly different search phrases gives visitors more work without necessarily adding value.

We plan headings, visible answers, internal links and search metadata around the content. Structured data should describe what the site actually says. Google’s guidance favours useful, reliable content rather than writing aimed only at ranking systems.

## What the handover should include

The agreed output can include an editable site, CMS guidance, account ownership records and a launch checklist. A replacement site also needs a URL inventory and relevant redirect map.

We check readable layouts, keyboard access and enquiry behaviour alongside indexing settings and the sitemap. Hosting, support after launch and future content work should be clear in the proposal.

## How this website was rebuilt

The October 2026 rebuild of this website kept or redirected every one of the 40 addresses the old site had, so no search history or bookmark was lost. Every page type tested scored 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO in Lighthouse.

The same URL inventory, redirect map and launch checks are used on client websites. The websites page has the full story.

## Common questions

### Will the site work on phones?

Mobile layout and navigation are part of the review. We check common screen sizes, readable text, links and the enquiry form before release.

### Can you preserve our current page addresses?

We inventory the current URLs and keep useful addresses where possible. Changed or merged pages receive a relevant redirect as part of the migration plan.

### Will I be able to edit the site myself?

We agree on the content fields and publishing controls during the brief. The handover should explain common edits and when a change requires development.

### Can the site help with AI search visibility?

Yes. Clear answers, one page per service, accurate business details and valid structured data make a site easier for Google and AI tools to understand and quote. Nobody can guarantee a ranking or a citation, but this website was built the same way.

### Do we need to rewrite every existing page?

We first review what is useful and what already receives traffic. Some pages can be improved at the same address; others may need a carefully planned merge.

### How much does a small business website cost?

Website work is charged from $79 an hour ex GST, and you get a quote with the total before anything starts. The cost depends mainly on the number of pages, how much help you need with the words and photos, and whether an existing site has to move without losing its search traffic. For comparison, Perth web designers who publish package prices start at around $2,000 for a few pages.

### Do I own the website and the domain?

Yes. The domain, hosting, website and logins are set up in your business's name. The handover lists each account and how to recover it, so you are never left waiting on a developer to make a change.
