Perth Teams Calling support with Australia wide remote help. Review Teams Phone licences, providers, numbers and call routing before a changeover.

Teams Calling connects Microsoft Teams to ordinary telephone calls through Teams Phone and a suitable phone service arrangement. We help scope licences, provider connectivity, numbers and routing before a setup or migration.

Perth based, with remote support across Australia. From $79 an hour ex GST, with the fee agreed before work begins. Call Josh C on 0408 530 303.

## What we can help with

- Current phone service and number inventory
- Teams Phone licence and provider review
- Call routing and user configuration scope
- Changeover tests and provider handover

The business wants staff to answer its main number through Teams instead of a separate phone app. That can involve more than assigning a licence. The carrier, number ownership and call routing all need review.

We provide Perth based Teams Calling scoping and remote configuration support across Australia. Provider work and any specialist telephony implementation are identified before the project is agreed.

## Record how the business handles calls

Identify the main number, staff numbers and who answers them. Describe transfers, voicemail, business hours and what happens when nobody is available. A small team may need a simpler arrangement than its existing system.

Include any devices or services tied to the phone connection. Special requirements should be disclosed before a migration is proposed.

## Separate Teams Phone from carrier connectivity

Teams Phone provides phone system capabilities. Calling ordinary external numbers also requires a suitable connection to the telephone network. Microsoft documents Calling Plans, Operator Connect, Teams Phone Mobile and Direct Routing options.

We review the relevant option with your provider and environment. Availability and the right design depend on the location, service and requirements.

## Check licences and number ownership

The required Teams and phone licences vary by setup. User accounts and services such as queues may have different dependencies. We verify the design before quoting configuration.

Keep a record of the number owner and carrier account. A planned number transfer needs provider approval and timing rather than an assumption that changing a Microsoft setting moves it.

## Design routing before the changeover

Agree on who receives an incoming call, how unanswered calls behave and which information callers hear. Staff need to know how transfers and voicemail will work.

Emergency calling requirements, locations and provider responsibilities must be included in the review. Keep an appropriate alternative available if the internet connection or calling service is unavailable.

## Test calls through the intended path

A successful internal Teams call does not establish external phone service. Agree on inbound and outbound checks, transfers, voicemail and the relevant devices.

The changeover plan should record provider milestones and the response if a check fails. Leave the old arrangement available for an agreed transition where practical.

## Document support across both services

The handover should identify Microsoft configuration, carrier ownership and who handles a fault. Record changed routing and checks completed so the next investigation has useful evidence.

Hardware, carrier fees and ongoing support need clear costs and coverage. A configuration job does not imply that A Dark Cloud Creative operates the telephone network or provides round the clock service.

## Common questions

### Is a normal Teams licence enough for external calls?

Do not assume it is. Teams Phone capabilities and telephone network connectivity have their own requirements, which depend on the chosen arrangement.

### Can we keep our existing number?

That depends on the current carrier, number and destination service. Porting feasibility and timing need to be confirmed with the relevant providers.

### Is this different from Teams meeting support?

Yes. Teams meeting and collaboration support has a separate page. Teams Calling addresses business telephone numbers and call routing.

### Will you handle the carrier service too?

We establish provider responsibilities during scoping. Carrier services and charges are separate unless the agreement explicitly covers them.
